My response to an article in the Atlantic about post lock down forgiveness and some general commentary on current day church culture.

Note: the subtitle of the article was changed from: "We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID" to "Let's focus on the future, and fix the problems we still need to solve." I do not know if anything else was changed.
Note about below links: Jimmy Dore is the most thorough but with very strong language. The Quartering video gives info on the author and how she treated people during the Pandemic.

“Men do nothing save at the secret instigation of God, and do not discuss and deliberate on anything but what he has previously decreed with himself, and brings to pass by his secret direction.” - Institutes of the Christian Religion (Inst. I.xviii.l.) 1559 edition
Divine Determinism is a Calvinist/Reformed Theology doctrine expressing the belief that God is meticulously determining everything that happens.
This assumption is the foundation for much of Calvinist thinking and doctrine starting with John Calvin himself.
I describe my first encounter with someone who believed in Divine Determinism and give my opinion about this doctrine after 30 years of observing and interacting with those who profess to believe it.
What Cory Asbury's song "Reckless Love" taught me about shame in the church and the Biblical solution.
"Conservatives only care about the rich!" is an accusation I've heard from the political left for many years. In this video I explain why the right cares about both the rich and the poor, how those two things are connected, and some other things left-wingers don't understand about how conservatives think.
